We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience in Java, JEE, and microservice architecture. The role requires expertise in backend development, relational databases, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with DevOps tools, cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a plus. ​ 

Qualifications & Certifications

  • A degree in computer science, B.Tech or a comparable education
  • Good to have several years of experience as a developer with relevant certifications
  • Several years of experience in Java backend development
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.
  • Strong communication skills (exchange with the specialist side, working in a global and virtual

Technical Skills

  • Multi-year experience in Java, JavaScript/NodeJS
  • Multi-year knowledge of Spring Boot,Spring Framework and Spring Security
  • Experience in backend development with JEE
  • Experience with Web Technologies (JSON, REST, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Project experience in the conception, design and development of complex applications within a microservice  
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, DCOS, incl. microservice patterns such as e.B. resilience, dynamic scaling

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and consulting skills ability to work independently
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ensuring development is in line with the agreed architecture

Key Responsibilities


  • Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
  • Lead the conception, design, and development of complex applications using microservice architecture.
  • Implement and manage containerized applications with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, DCOS, and ELK stack.
  • Apply microservice patterns including resilience and dynamic scaling for robust system performance.
  • Collaborate in Agile development environments (SCRUM, KANBAN, XP) with exposure to SAFe methodology.
  • Ensure high code quality through best practices in web development, programming tools, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain and optimize backend systems using RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
  • Integrate ElasticSearch and other indexing/search solutions for efficient data retrieval.
  • Utilize Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, and TeamCity for version control and CI/CD workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally with frontend and cloud teams; familiarity with Angular, RxJS, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, quick problem-solving, effective communication, and a high sense of project ownership.
