MeJu-Hibernate-Me is a smart Windows utility that reactivates and simplifies the hidden Hibernate feature in Windows 10/11. It adds intelligent countdown scheduling, allowing you to plan when your PC hibernates instead of leaving it in power-wasting Sleep mode.

What's the difference between Hibernate and Sleep mode?

Hibernate Mode:

• Zero power consumption (completely powers down)

Sleep Mode:

How does the countdown timer work?
Set a custom countdown (minutes and seconds) before hibernation. Use cases:

• Windows updates: Set countdown and go to bed while updates complete

Can I cancel the countdown after starting it?

• Yes. Simply click the "Cancel" button before the countdown reaches zero.

Does it activate Hibernate automatically?

No. MeJu-Hibernate-Me operates locally on your PC without internet connectivity or data collection.

Is my work secure during Hibernate?

Yes. Hibernate writes RAM contents to an encrypted hiberfil.sys file on your system drive, protected by Windows security.

MeJu-Hibernate-Me enables Hibernate by setting the Windows registry key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\HibernateEnabled = 1

This is the same method Windows uses internally—completely safe and reversible.

If power fails before hibernation completes, you'll lose unsaved work (same as any unexpected shutdown). Once hibernation completes, your work is safely saved to disk.

How much energy does it save compared to Sleep mode?

Sleep mode uses 2-10 watts continuously. For a laptop left in sleep overnight (8 hours), that's 16-80 watt-hours wasted. Over a year, this adds up to significant power costs and environmental impact. Hibernate uses zero power.

Will this help my laptop battery life?

Absolutely. Sleep mode drains laptop batteries even when the lid is closed. Hibernate preserves battery by completely powering down while saving your work state.
